A video game genre is a category based on the gameplay. Video games can have multiple genres at the same time. Some genres I like are adventure, first-person shooter, action, roguelike and survival video games. An adventure game is a game where you can explore a world and find treasure and secrets. A first-person shooter is a game where you a first person perspective of a character and fight using guns and weapons. An action video game is a game involving lots of action and heart racing fun. A roguelike video game is like a dungeon crawl through AI generated levels. Finally, a survival game is a game where you need to hunt to survive and become the hunter, not the hunted.
